Tilt Architecture is an award-winning architecture, interior design and visitor experience practice. We create innovative and extraordinary buildings that excite their users while delivering them in a way that engages clients throughout the process. We’re in this together!
Wellington-based with an international reach, Tilt Architecture designs exciting projects throughout New Zealand and Asia. We are actively involved in museum/gallery design, the tourism sector, education and bespoke residential buildings, driven by a passion to collaboratively design the best building for you and deliver the best experience for the building’s users.
With a combined 45 years practical architectural and design experience, and having worked together in a previous practice for 13 years, directors Gregory Shadbolt and Gavin Urquhart created Tilt Architecture in January 2018, bringing together our complementary philosophies and skills. Glen Barris, Jasmine Tran & Chris Stevens have joined the team since, and together bring a diverse and exciting mix of material science, furniture design and architectural experience. Agile and responsive, you can rely on Tilt’s design team to bring enthusiasm and practicality to your new build or renovation project whilst navigating the myriad design and financial constraints that may arise.
Highly skilled in 3D modelling and BIM, we can examine your project at the early stages via animation and visualisation, with feedback looping back into the design process as the project progresses. And the result for you? A building requiring less on-site variations, more accurate documentation and overall a more cost effective architecture project!
